The Tara Ocean Foundation and the Jambio network joint microplastic survey continue in 2021
The Tara Ocean Foundation and the Jambio Network survey microplastic pollution in Japan’s coastal waters and conduct outreach events around Japan for the second year. After surveying the coastal waters around marine stations in West Japan, the team will be surveying waters in North East Japan. The objective of the surveys is to assess plastic pollution, its potential impacts on the biodiversity of Japan’s coastal waters and also to increase awareness on the environmental threats that the ocean is facing.
