Tara JAMBIO Blue Carbon Project Nagasaki Survey

As part of the Blue Carbon Project targeting seaweed beds across Japan, the second survey of 2025 was conducted at Nakadori Island (Arikawa Bay) in the Goto Islands of Nagasaki. It was conducted in collaboration with Professor Gregory N. Nishihara, Nagasaki University, and the Arikawa Town Fisheries Cooperative. With the cooperation of local residents, we were able to carry out most of the planned survey contents, such as investigating the carbon sequestration process and biodiversity.
