In 2019, Noto Center for Fisheries Science and Technology was founded as a fisheries science station belonging to the Faculty of Biological Science and Technology, Kanazawa University. Noto Center for Fisheries Science and Technology and Noto Marine Laboratory Kanazawa University are located at a place with wonderful views of Tsukumo Bay (Noto, Ishikawa Pref.). The bay is selected as one of the 100 best sceneries in Japan. The Noto Center for Fisheries Science and Technology aims to develop innovative aquaculture technologies and offers opportunities for researchers and students to uncover mysteries of aquatic animals. The center also provides training programs for students with global and local perspectives. The center consists of a new education and research building (3 research aquarium room), a renovated dormitory (dining facilities) and a breeding house (3t/hour well freshwater and 50t/hour seawater). Dormitory facilities can accommodate about 30 guests. All rooms are air-conditioned. The center is open to qualified researchers on a year-round basis.
